One thing I've missed since moving to Seattle this type of Chinese food. For some reason they use flat egg noodles and not round egg noodles there. The chow mein was incredible. The noodles were al dente and perfectly stir fried with strips of char siu pork. The sweetness of the pork combined with the firm noodles and Smokey wok flavor was chefs kiss. The fried rice I wish had a little darker color to it and a bit more flavor. There was a lot of chicken but it wasn't as well incorporated. Most of it was on the bottom of the plate. Portions were HUGE and service was friendly and welcoming. It is located in a tiny strip of store on El Camino in Millbrae in front of some apartments.

Decided to give this place a try since I was hungry for Asian food. My other half has been coming here for years and said it pretty decent Chinese/Korean food. Not sure how busy this place gets in the evening. For lunch, it was light. We ordered the black bean noodle and salt and pepper fish filet. Not bad. The quantity was there. No shrinkflation here. The noodle was tasty and hot. The large is definitely hefty. The fish filet was decent. I would say this place is a great place to go if your'e hungry and you need to feed your teenage kids. It's a no thrill spot, but the food is decent for most.

Online order: this is the first time I have eaten from Chef Wang. I have been searching high and low for a tomato beef chow mein that tasted similar to my childhood favorite restaurant Hong Kong in SF; which sadly closed years ago. It's amazing how hard it's been. Then comes in Chef Wang. The chow mein was sweet and savory, it gave me childhood flashbacks. The noodles are cooked perfected, wish it had a little bit more beef but that sauce makes up for it, at least for me. So glad to find a place close by that has one of my favorite comfort foods!

Chef Wang's is a nice little spot serving up delicious Chinese Korean cuisine. We ordered the Seafood Combination, Salt and Pepper Fish, and Jjampong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup). The Seafood Combination was deliciously umami with plenty of the wok flavor. It included scallops, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and plenty of choy so definitely a great dish to share. Salt and Pepper Fish was fried nicely and had a beautifully crunchy texture. This peppers were not as spicy, so we added a few sprinkles of white pepper to bring up the heat. A nice cook on it nonetheless. The JJampong portion here is huge and can definitely share between two or three people with plenty of noodles to go around. The soup is adorn with zucchini, cabbage, onions, shrimp, clams, and small slices of pork. The broth is ever so spicy, not too salty. I am used to the broth having more of a seafood flavor, but this one definitely had more of a vegetable broth taste. Service was nice and attentive, but restaurant was a bit more empty as we had arrived mid day. Overall, there was plenty of flavor in the fishes, good portions, and we can't wait to come here again to try other dishes as the menu is quite unique given its combination of cultures.
